Den of memories — Exhibition of the «Vidkrytky» project
We would like to invite you to the exhibition of the «Vidkrytky» project, which creates postcards together with children affected by the Russia’s war against Ukraine. The postcards are dedicated to the children’s favourite places in their hometowns, most of which are now inaccessible due to the war.
However, the aim of the project is not to focus on what has been lost, but to create a unique archive of images of peaceful Ukrainian towns, and to create a space for fantasy and creativity in the context of military conflict. When creating the exposition, the artists-initiators of the project tried to combine their personal memories of their childhood in the 90s and 2000s with children’s stories. They offer all visitors to try to see not only the threat that hangs over children’s carelessness, but also universal tools to protect and counteract it.
The exhibition will also present detailed information about the project, a collection of children’s postcards with an opportunity to buy them and support the project, as well to make your own postcard and send it to Ukrainian children.
